The good people at Kane FM recently got in touch and asked us for an exclusive mix for the station. The former ex-pirate station is preparing for it’s full launch, being only the 3rd pirate in the country to get it’s legal license. Our extended fam 2010 DMC Finalist DJ Killer Tomato got involved to handle the mix and whilst we await the transmission you can check it out now over at their Mixcloud site.

SONNYJIM – A.M. Spittin Pt.6

For part of the series of spitting session we’ve been filming we figured we’d get Sonnyjim on the job. We’d always meant to get one done at the MAAAD TIGHT VIDEO shoot but due to time over running never got the chance.

Filmed during the recording of ‘THE HIGHBALL’ LP in Birmingham. The collaboration project between Eatgood Records and AssociatedMinds the LP will feature production from the likes of Metabeats, P.L.O., Kelakovski and Beatbox Fozzy.

Emmcees featured on the tracks will be Sonnyjim, Mudmowth, Kosyne, Ruffstylz, Redbeard, Ralph Rip Shit, Taharka, Willo Wispa, RTillery, P.L.O., Pergyl and more.

RUFFSTYLZ – DOUBLE SINGLE RELEASE

Label co-founder and rhyming craftsman Ruffstylz is dropping a double single on digital release worldwide as of the 1st of March.

Part 1 is the Barnie Rumble produced electro-hop homage that is ‘1980’s Grime’. Featuring Ruff’s long time stage murdering partner Beatbox Fozzy on the hook. To accompany the track director Ryan Andrews has made his re-envisioning of an old school dance video to take you on a throw back ride as well.

Ruff’s also keeping it raw dog for the purists by releasing the insane flow ride that is the Stophe produced monster ‘Case Closed’ on the same day. This is the video taken from the ‘2009 Wrapped Up Special’ put on by our people over at the Louis Den Beatmaking Leagues. Every year we trade christmas vinyl between 3 collectives spread across England (Kosyne & Kelakovski) and Scotland (S-Type & Jaisu) and Wales and in pairs have to make some christmas flavoured beat heat.

RUFFSTYLZ WORLD RECORD PT. 2

Once again Ruff has gone back in hard on his world record for the longest freestyle rap. Previously he held it for 10 hours and 34 minutes. He was asked by Oxfam to attempt to break it again for this year’s Oxjam event which was held at The Toucan Club, Cardiff.

He agreed to take up the challenge and along with the numerous deejays who helped him out throughout the day and night he managed to smash his previous time. This time he took it to an insane 17 hours.

It was one hell of a mental and physical challenge and we’re proud of him for that. Plus shouts to everyone who came down to the event and helped create the feel good party vibe throughout the whole time.

He’s says he’s got the whole thing out his system now and won’t be attempting it again. But hey, never say never right?

MAYOR & P.L.O. ON RADIO 1

Mayor went up on the Bethan Elfyn’s Radio 1 show as the weeks ‘tipster’. Dropping some hip-hop exclusives and introducing the unitiated to some emcees and producers you need to be knowing. P.L.O. rolled up to the studio too and spoke on some of the projects he’s working on right now.
